At The General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd, we are currently looking for a reliable and professional Credit Controller to join our Finance & IT Department.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective execution of the credit control function. The role involves ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, maintaining the accuracy of the debtors' ledger, and ensuring that all outstanding income is received and accurately recorded.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage disputed accounts and negotiate to ensure that payments align with the established terms.
• Guarantee timely and appropriate follow-up on payment schedules.
• Ensure that all income due is received and accurately recorded in the debtors' accounts.
• Prepare account reconciliations as necessary. 
• Address queries and resolve problems in accordance with Company guidelines and policies.
• Consult with the Sales Team to ensure that disputes regarding deliveries and payments are satisfactorily resolved.
• Maintain all necessary records pertinent to Credit, as required.

Qualifications & Competencies

• O level or equivalent in Maths, Maltese and English. 
• Fundamental knowledge of credit control and demonstrated numeracy skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications. 
• Strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills. 
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and work independently or as part of a team. 

Experience

• Background in credit control would be considered an asset.
