The ERP Specialist is a crucial role in supporting and maintaining the organization's ERP system. This position requires a strong understanding of ERP principles, technical expertise, and excellent problem-solving skills. The individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the ERP system, providing technical support to end-users, and implementing system enhancements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ERP System Administration:
• Manage daily operations of the ERP system, including user access control, data integrity, and system performance monitoring.
• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and errors.
• Maintain system security and implement necessary security measures.
User Support:
• Provide technical support to end-users on ERP system functionalities and processes.
• Assist users in resolving issues and answering questions related to the ERP system.
• Conduct user training sessions and create user manuals and guides.
System Enhancements:
• Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new ERP modules and functionalities.
• Conduct system upgrades and patches as required.
• Work with business users to identify and implement process improvements within the ERP system.
Data Management:
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the ERP system.
• Perform data entry and data migration tasks as needed.
• Generate reports and analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Project Management:
• Participate in ERP-related projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
• Assist in the planning and execution of project tasks.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and best practices related to ERP systems.
• Stay up to date on the latest ERP technologies and best practices.
General
• Expected to be fully knowledgeable about the company policies and procedures and adhere.
• Responsible for fostering a proactive culture by implementing ways of working that are aligned with best practices.
• Adhere to the IT Change Management Policy and procedure.
• Conduct research and propose to your superiors’ solutions for optimization of systems that will bring benefits to the business operations.
• Maintain confidentiality with regards to information being processed, accessed, or stored.
• To maintain cordial relationships and a constant flow of communications with all personnel within the company to ensure maximum co-operation and team spirit.
• Perform all duties to ensure the deliverables are achieved for the success of the department and its initiatives.
• Performing any other additional duties that may arise from time to time.
• Actively participating and taking on the assigned roles in case of an emergency requiring the activation of Business Continuity Plans
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Diploma in IT/Computer Studies or an equivalent.
• 2 years of experience working with ERP systems, preferably in SAP and/or Microsoft Dynamics
• Strong understanding of ERP principles
• Experience with SQL and database management is a plus.
• Relevant industry certifications (SAP and/or Microsoft Dynamics) are a plus.
• A strong can-do attitude with a high level of motivation.
