JOB OUTLINE: The Logistics Executive is responsible for the day-to-day running of the company’s Inventory and Shipping within the Logistics Department.
TASKS:
- To ensure that the daily tasks expected from the Inventory team and performed accurately and in the most efficient way possible.
- To manage and lead the Inventory Clerks team, including recruitment, induction, training, and reviewing.
- To monitor the performance of the team to ensure all Inventory management systems are kept up to date and as per procedures.
- To lead stock-taking exercises on a regular basis and liaise with SAP team and Finance to reconcile Stock Take outcomes.
- To investigate any discrepancies following the monthly stock take and report any findings to the Logistics & Stores Manager and assist in the identification of the root cause.
- To ensure stock reconciliations from Production, Imports, Non-Core, and Transfer of Hubs by collecting the relevant paperwork and making sure all transactions are reflected in SAP.
- To ensure that the Inventory Clerks’ Offices are kept in clean and organized order.
- To ensure that all required information is recorded on the relevant forms according to Company policies.
- To forward any ideas/recommendations that can improve the running of the department (safety, cost saving, increased efficiency, increased service level, etc.).
- Ensures that all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Ensures that the warehouse is operated in-line with GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and FSSC 22000 requirements.
- To track and report demurrage costs to the Logistics & Store Manager.
- To track and follow up on shipping complaints and reimbursements.
- To track weekly shipping arrivals and ensure timely offloading of goods.
- To check excise calculations before being handed to Accounts.
- To overview the timely submission of costing sheets by the Shipping Officer and report any delays accordingly.
- To assist the Logistics & Stores Manager on ad-hoc projects as required.
