JOB OUTLINE: The Human Resources Business Partner support management and employees in a wide range of HR related initiatives, including performance management, recognition and employee engagement. The HRBP acts as the first point of contact for management, employees and union representatives in relation to employee issues.
TASKS:
- Supporting management in Organisational Design & Development initiatives:
- Preparing and updating Company and Departmental Policies & Procedures and the Employee Handbook to document processes and provide guidance to personnel.
- Leading Onboarding Follow-Up Meetings to ensure smooth integration of new hires and ensuring that a training plan is prepared and is being adhered to.
- Managing Probation Reviews, ensuring that feedback is provided to employees in a timely manner.
- Acting as the first point of contact of employees, Union representatives and management.
- Ensuring proper implementation of Collective Agreement provisions and providing support during Collective Agreement Negotiations.
- Supporting management on the interpretation of the Collective Agreement and Employment Legislation, and any other related issues.
- Conducting Employee Surveys & Focus Groups to gather employee feedback and drive engagement initiatives.
- Managing discipline, including the preparation of documentation and the holding of the hearings.
- Following up on incidents by supporting investigations, taking the necessary disciplinary actions and filling and forwarding of injury related documentation to interested parties.
- Overseeing and supporting management in relation to the performance management processes.
- Implementing and maintaining a 360° Feedback system, as required.
- Implementing and managing an innovative Suggestion Scheme.
- Leading Recognition programmes to recognise employee achievements.
- Enhancing the company’s Employee Value Proposition.
- Strengthening Employer Branding efforts and internal communication to attract and retain top talent.
- Following up on the deployment of HR related initiatives and programmes with the departments and employees.
- Conducting Exit Interviews to improve retention strategies.
- Preparation, dissemination and presentation of reports related to the above-mentioned tasks.
- Providing support on any other HR related tasks as required from time to time.
